Hello My Friend
There is no particular reason for this letter.
No forgotten birthday or anniversary.
It’s just me sitting here, quietly
thinking about the important things
in my life and I thought of you…
And I wanted you to know,
that you are important to me.
My life, without you in it,
would be markedly different.
The sun wouldn’t shine as brightly,
the flowers wouldn’t smell as sweet,
the days wouldn’t be as warm,
the nights would be oh so much longer
and my smile would not beam as frequently.
…Sometimes I may gush,
sometimes I may mush…
But I want you to always know
how much I care
and how thankful I am,
